Summary[]
This is the ninth quest line for Gates of Discord progression. The purpose of this guide is to walkthrough the quest in detail. If you want a no frills guide then see this post on the forums.
Guide[]
This questline is made up of two individual quests, listed below. You will be retrieving the Sliver of the High Temple and the Fragment of the High Temple. Having both of these items and talking to Tublik Narwethar will give you access to Qvic, Prayer Grounds of Calling.
Sliver of the High Temple[]
Note: you must be in a raid to get the instance. Once the instance has been created you can drop the raid. To start the quest go to Sentinel of the Altar (#zone kodtaz 1676 634 -353). You will likely be attacked by mobs.
Give Icon to Sentinel[]
Give the Sentinel of the Altar your Icon of the Altar. It will give the icon back.
Sentinel of the Altar motions for you to enter the altar through the entrance behind him.
Sentinel of the Altar says, 'Instance added.'
Head down the stairs behind the Sentinel and enter Ikkinz, Chambers of Transcendence (#zone kodtaz 1704 420 -369)
Kill Altar Construct[]
Once inside work your way the Altar Construct and kill it. There are a only a couple mobs spawned on the way to the Construct, but they will not attack you.
Kill Keeper of the Altar[]
After killing the Altar Construct, move on the next room (see map below), where the Keeper of the Altar is.
Loot Sliver of the High Temple[]
After killing the Keeper, piles of bones will spawn. Open them and loot the Sliver of the High Temple.
Fragment of the High Temple[]
In this quest you will be running through Uqua, the Ocean God Chantry. The map below shows the locations you will be visiting.
Obtain Orb of Rage[]
Your first task is to kill the four 'a construct of rage' (#zone uqua -544 -974 4).
After killing them, move north and kill Tqiv Araxt the Enraged.
After killing Tqiv Araxt the Enraged, an Orb of Rage will spawn where she was standing. Grab it.
Obtain Orb of Fury[]
Next, kill four 'a construct of fury' (#zone uqua -1222 -976 4).
After killing them, move north and kill Tqiv Qukret the Furious.
After he dies an Orb of Fury will spawn where he was standing. Grab it.
Spawn Devastating Construct[]
Next you must give your newly acquired Orb's to spawn the Devastating Construct. Go to the Specter Room (#zone uqua -869 -720 32). There will be a Specter of Fury and a Specter of Rage.
Give the Specter of Fury the Orb of Fury. Give the Specter of Rage the Orb of Rage. Upon handing in the second orb you will see the following message.
The Altar of Fury and Altar of Rage hum in harmony. A bright flash of light illuminates the room momentarily, causing the tendrils of murky shadow to dissipate. The Aura of Destruction has faded away.A strange voice shouts, You fools! While you may have stopped the rituals of fury and rage, you are still too late to prevent me from transferring the power of Trushar into our stone guardian. If you wish death, then continue into my chambers!
This will spawn the Devastating Construct.
Kill Vrex Barxt Qurat[]
Quickly, head to the Devastating Construct (#zone uqua -870 -260 60).
After killing the construct, head north and the Guardian of Destruction will spawn. Attack it. When it gets low on health, Vrex Barxt Qurat will spawn and attack.
Obtain Fragment of the High Temple[]
After killing both the Guardian and Vrex Barxt Qurat, a Specter of Barxt will spawn.
Hail the Specter.
You say, 'Hail, Specter of Barxt'
Specter of Barxt says 'Thank you for helping me see the truth. When you slew the construct, I was driven to the brink of insanity. By destroying my mortal self, you freed my tortured spirit. Please accept this offering. It is a fragment of a master key. Once you have the first two pieces of the High Temple key, you will be able to bypass the wards that protect Qvic. When you have located all three fragments you may find a way to gain entrance into the lair of Txevu. The Muramites have taken control of it and I fear that even now they may be defacing our most sacred temple. Please remember that while you have come far, this is but one small step in your quest to free Taelosia. There are many challenges that yet await you.'
You will then receive the Fragment of the High Temple.
Finish[]
Head back to Tublik Narwethar (#zone kodtaz 1292 -2013 -348). Give him the Sliver of the High Temple (the item from the previous quest). He will give you back a new item with the same name.
Tublik Narwethar says, 'You have done great things for us, but your journey is not yet over.'Finished! - You've recovered the Sliver of the High Temple! Congratulations!You feel the magic protecting Qvic has softened.
You have now unlocked Qvic!
