What is an Audio Trigger?
An audio trigger looks for a specific phrase in our output windows and when it sees this, will play an audio sound that you designate.
Example Tigger
For this example, we will use the Dagarn event from Fabled NToV. During the course of the fight Dagarn will want a player to “Draw” a card by sending a message that states “Now is your chance.”, but with all the combat and spell casting you will most likely miss this.
To have an audio alert when this phrase appears do the following:
1. Click the EQ button, select Actions, then choose Audio Triggers
2. The Audio Triggers window will open.
3. You will need to fill out the Pattern and select a Sound that you would like. As mentioned earlier for Dagarn in the Fabled NToV event the pattern is “Now is your chance.” There are default sounds listed in the drop down list. When you select a sound it will play a sample for you to hear.
4. Once filled out click on the “Create” button at the top.
5. Your new Audio Trigger should be shown in your list. Verify the Enabled box is selected.
6. To test the trigger simply type “Now is your chance” in the /say, /g, or /gu and it should play.
