Summary[]
To obtain the Key to Kunark you will need to kill one of three monsters: Lady Vox in Permafrost, Lord Nagafen in Nagafen's Lair, or Venril Sathir in Karnor's Castle. As an alternative you can also purchase the key fragment in the Guild Lobby.
Zones Unlocked[]
After you obtain the Key to Kunark you will be able to access:
- Old Sebilis (sebilis) - Zam Magelo
- Chardok (chardok) - Zam Magelo
- Chardok: Halls of the Betrayal (chardokb) -Zam Magelo
- Howling Stones (charasis) - Zam Magelo
Note that while Veeshan's Peak is part of Kunark there is a separate key needed to unlock it.
Purchasing the Key Fragment[]
You can purchase the Key Fragment to Kunark in the Guild Lobby for around 2000pp from Zulu. Turn in the fragment to Vinz Clortho in Guild Lobby.

You only need to kill one of the three following monsters. Each monster will spawn a ghost when it dies. Kill the ghost and loot the key fragment. Take the key fragment to Vinz Clortho (#zone guildlobby 71 347 1) in Guild Lobby and he will give you the Key to Kunark. Note that Lady Vox and Lord Nagafen cannot be attacked if you are level 53+. Venril is probably the hardest of the three to defeat.
Lord Nagafen[]
Lord Nagafen can be found in Nagafen's Lair. You cannot attack him if you are level 53+. To teleport to a safe location near him use the command #zone soldungb -752 -1329 89. If you want to explore to find him see the map below.
Lady Vox[]
Lady Vox can be found in Permafrost Caverns. You cannot attack her if you are level 53+. To teleport to a safe location near her use the command #zone permafrost -381 749 4. If you want to explore to find her see the map below.
Venril Sathir[]
Venril Sathir can be found in Karnor's Castle. To teleport to a safe location near him use the command #zone karnor -641 -114 18. If you want to explore and find him he can be found in the southeastern part of the zone.

The Ruins of Kunark was Everquest's 1st expansion and was released on April 24th, 2000.[1] It added the Iksar race and the new continent of Kunark. It raised the max level from 50 to 60.
