Unlock Velious

Summary

To obtain the Key to Velious you must kill Phara Dar in Veeshan's Peak. As an alternative you can also purchase the key fragment in the Guild Lobby.

Zones Unlocked

After obtaining the key you will have access to the following zones:

• Kael Drakkel (kael) - Zam Magelo
• Skyshrine (skyshrine) - Zam Magelo
• Icewell Keep (thurgadinb) - Zam Magelo
• Plane of Growth (growthplane) - Zam Magelo

Note, that while Sleeper's Tomb was part of Velious, there is a separate quest to unlock access to it. Temple of Veeshan was also part of Velious but requires a different key to unlock it.

Purchasing the Key Fragment

You can purchase the Key Fragment to Velious in the Guild Lobby for around 6000pp from Zulu. Turn in the fragment to Vinz Clortho in Guild Lobby.

Phara Dar is the boss of Veeshan's Peak. If you want to teleport directly to Phara Dar then use the command #zone veeshan -1392 -1143 284. If you want to explore she can be found in the southeastern part of the zone. See the map below.

Once you kill her, a ghost will appear. Kill her ghost and loot a key fragment. Take the key fragment to Vinz Clortho (Template:VinzClorthoZoneCommand) in Guild Lobby to receive the Key to Velious. You can store the key in your bank so you don't accidentally delete it.

The Scars of Velious was Everquest's 2nd expansion and was released on December 5th, 2000. It added the new continent of Velious.
